Blogbrary Grand Opening

Welcome to MHP Library Services new Blogbrary!
The intent of this new library space is to provide our patrons with a new medium to learn about library services, investigate monthly healthcare topics, explore the monthly offerings from core journals in medicine, as well as discover innovative practices in patient safety.


We are 'opening the doors' to our Blogbrary in the spirit of National Medical Librarians Month which celebrates the important role that health information professionals play in the care of patients of healthcare facilities and the community.

Now, more than ever, consumers and healthcare professionals need the specialized assistance that medical librarians offer. Just as trail guides are able to navigate into vast landscapes without becoming disoriented, medical librarians can help their patrons stealthily move through vast amounts of information to find the resources that are needed.

So please, take a moment out of your busy day to stop by the library at your facility, send an e-mail or pick up the phone and let your medical librarian know that she is appreciated and a valuable asset to MHP.

With that said, please make our Blogbrary a regular stop in your routine or tag us for syndication (I'll be posting instructions for this in a forth-coming post). We are very excited about our new home on the web and cannot wait to see what potential it holds for our library and our patrons.
